7 Dunecrest Lane is the overall best direct oceanfront traditional house inside the security gates of WildDunes. It is the best considering the quality of construction, design, view, location and age. The AtlanticOcean views are magnificent from the moment you step through the front door to the 2,200 square feetof large covered porches with both sunrises and sunsets spectacular. The beach and neighborhood isvery private and quiet although close to the Grand Pavilion amenities, restaurants, tennis center, spa,AAA Four Diamond Boardwalk Inn and Harbor Golf Course and newly renovated Links Course. The large porches have wood floors from Brazilian plantations (not rainforests) reported not to rot for 100 years. The house includes 7 bedrooms with 2 on the first level and 5 on the second, 7 full baths, 2 half baths and a basement shower. The heated and air conditioned is approximately 4,990 square feet, an additional 2,200 square feet of covered porches, an open basement with 2,490 square feet and 400 square feet of decks and walks. The design includes the maximum number of windows and sliding glass doors on the ocean rear of the house possible and the ocean side porches are 15 feet wide allowing full use during all types of weather. The living areas include a first floor open kitchen with large granite island, dining and living areas and a second floor den, media room and reading room both with hardwood floors. The house has always been carefully and extensively maintained to the highest standards complete with most recently new ducts in the attic, a commercial dehumidifier system in the ducts and upstairs air handler. The large basement has an enclosed shower and storage room. Wild Dunes Resort is Charleston's Island Resort just minutes from historic, downtown Charleston and adjacent to all the shopping, services and restaurants of Mount Pleasant. Wild Dunes consists of 1,600 acres with two Tom Fazio golf courses, a top nationally ranked 17 court tennis center, unspoiled beaches and nearby boat launching access and marina services.
